Massive lay offs affect, children, wives and house husbands. In the last months Meta has fired 11,000, Amazon 10,000, and Sales Force 8000. Many of the recently unemployed have limited savings, few stocks to sell and do have mortgages to pay. Meals will be cut, homes will have less heat and financial anxiety will increase. Lay offs secure profits, discriminate against the lowest paid workers and assure high paying executives’ salaries. Greed is the winner.
