Polls on Palestinians

How about a poll of American people’s attitudes about the oppression of the Palestinians by the Israelis? I can guess that American Jews generally support Israel and oppose the Palestinian intransigence against Israel. American Evangelical Christians seem to be supportive of Israel apparently for Biblical and Apocalyptic reasons.

I wonder about main line Christians like Methodists, non-Southern Baptists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, United Church of Christ, Greek, Armenian and Russian Orthodox Churches. What polls tells us what American Roman Catholics believe about Israel and the Palestinians.
I also wonder what the huge number of non-religious secularist population feel abut the thorny issue?

My anti-Israeli government stance gets me a lot of response from many Christians who are against Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. Some say they are afraid to speak out for fear of recrimination in the work place or among their friends.

I have not seen any serious polling of these groups by the media or polling institutions.

How about it friends who examine trends, ideas and controversial subjects?

There is so much to feel grief over regarding Israel's behavior: politically, there is a pro-Israel group every Saturday at a very lively corner near where I live carrying signs stating to be against Israel's political policies is to be anti-semitic; in 1995 an assassin killed Yitzahk Rabin because Rabin was for making a just peace with the Palestinians, and the assassin's mission was successful - Israel has been the bellicose nation we all have come to know because of this successful murder; the U.S. supports Israel unconditionally, then complains about human rights violations in other nations. We see the mote in others' eyes, but miss the plank in our own.
